I am a Political Science PhD Candidate (ABD) at Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University (GMU). In the PhD program at GMU, my major fields of study are comparative politics and international relations. I expect to receive my PhD at GMU in May 2024.

I received my BA degree in International Relations at the Middle East Technical University (METU), where I also completed my minor in Political Science in 2016. Upon my graduation, I completed my first MSc at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in Comparative Politics in 2016. Additionally, I received a second MSc degree at the METU in Political Science in 2019.

My research interests cover the following areas of authoritarianism, democratization, populism, polarization, Turkish Politics, European Union (EU) Politics, and Turkey – EU Relations
